With all the buzz coming out of Great Britain lately regarding the impending wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton you can bet there’s also been a lot of focus on trying to determine who the designer of Ms. Middleton’s dress might be. With that we turned to our friends at Marie Claire magazine who recently listed their perspective of the top ten wedding dress designers:
Alberta Ferretti was named for designs that scream “understated glamour.”Sassi Holford was named for designs that combine classical lines with a desirable contemporary edge.Manuel Mota designs combine romance and modern flair in one seamless look.Ana Cristache produces custom designs that work equally well for classic weddings or those with a more urban flair.David Fielden is known for his shorter dresses and asymmetrical looks something that works well on many body types.Vivienne Westwood is known to many a modern bride for her Carrie Bradshaw connection (the Lily wedding gown which retails for over 9,000).Vera Wang is considered the “ultimate” in bridal wear with the list of dressed brides too lengthy to mention here.Carolyn Herrera is best known for the classic full-skirted princess gown that will make any woman feel like the classiest one to ever walk down an aisle.
The jury is still out as lovely Kate decides which dress to wear. But you know we’ll have the latest news in upcoming posts. Stay tuned.
