How to Plan a Wedding on a Budget
April 15th, 2011
Weddings are a joyous time and bring happiness to the couple involved. Weddings can also cause the couple to go into debt. However, there are many ways that you could plan a wedding on a budget and guarantee that it will not break the bank.
The first thing you would want to do is find a location for the ceremony and reception. Holding both at the same place will help cut costs. Look for local banquet halls, or ask friends and family that have a beautifully landscaped yard if you could hold it there.
Next, is what many women feel is the most important part of the wedding, the dress. Look for bridal shop sales and give yourself a budget that you cannot go over. You will look beautiful no matter what you wear. Same goes for dressing the groom and bridal party. Look for deals and stick to your budget.
Decor is always an important part of the ceremony and reception. Stick with simple items, such as candles and tulle. A Justice of the Peace is normally more reasonably priced than a minister so consider having a JP perform your ceremony. Finally, keep the food to a minimum. People are there to celebrate the happy couple, not to eat. If you set a budget and vow to stick to it, you will have the wedding of the dreams and a full bank account.
